A Childhood Without Heroes

Michael Hardt has written about his discovery of a hero in his adult life after not having any as a child.  He took his children to see his hero, Greg Mortenson, so they could have something that he didn’t have.  He is pleased to see his children affected by this hero.  This man has opened their eyes to the lives of students half a world away in a country that has been invaded by their own.

What are you doing to provide heroes to your children or the children around you?
