Heroes: A Flooded Market

That’s the heading of a New York Times article from yesterday. It is on the back of the Bloomberg comments of course and presents a number of points. However, the real meat is in the comments. See what New York Times readers feel about the word hero.

John Johnson says, “there was a time when the word “hero” meant something… now it means little… now it seems if you were “just there” or did nothing else except get “captured” or “shot down” or simply just did your job, you are a hero.”
